Installation and Backup

The program works under Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008/7.

You can install WebLog Expert on a Windows-based server. The program doesn't have web interface but you can set it up using built-in scheduler to generate reports automatically.

If you wish to set up the program so it generates reports for multiple domains, you should use the batch command line mode instead of creating separate profile for each domain.

Just download the new version from the program's website and install it on top of the old one. Your settings will be preserved.

You can backup and restore settings using the File > Backup and File > Restore commands from the main menu.

Alternatively, you can backup and restore settings manually. Program settings are stored in the files located in the subfolders of WebLog Expert data folder (usually C:\Program Files\WebLog Expert under Windows XP/2003 or older and C:\ProgramData\WebLog Expert under Windows Vista or newer). The following files should be backed up or moved to another computer:

Profiles\*.pfl - profiles

Config\Main.cfg - main program settings

Config\IgnoreLists.cfg - ignore lists

Config\Tables.cfg - report tables

Config\Schedule.cfg - schedule settings
