Organic and Paid Search Results

General information

You can set the program to show information on organic and paid search results separately. You need to use special landing pages (destination URLs) in your PPC campaign to allow the program to identify visitors that come to your site by clicking the paid links.

Tagging landing pages is the preferred way for tracking paid search results. E.g. if you use Google AdWords, you can add the string ?from=AdWords to the destination URLs so they will look like http://www.domain.com/?from=AdWords

Landing page list

You can specify landing pages in Profile Properties > Tracking > Track paid search and goals > Landing Pages:

Landing page properties

You can enter file name, query parameter and a search engine the landing page is used for. E.g. you can enter from as parameter name and AdWords as parameter value to track landing pages like like http://www.domain.com/?from=AdWords, or you can enter gclid as parameter name and * as parameter value to track landing pages like like http://www.domain.com/?gclid=anyvalue

If you enter file name you can enter it with or without slash at the beginning. E.g. http://www.domain.com/page.htm can be entered as /page.htm or as page.htm
